Things to do in Place du Trocadéro
Do you want to leave Paris with your own perfect shot of the Eiffel Tower standing majestically?
Situated in the 16th arrondissement of the city, directly across the road from the River Seine, the Place du Trocadèro is a top vantage point where you can capture that iconic postcard image of Paris.
As you walk around this bustling open space, you’ll get to see the Palais de Chaillot, home to three major museums, a restaurant, and the Théâtre National de Chaillot. In between the two buildings is a favourite spot to enjoy panoramic views of the Champ de Mars, the River Seine, and its two curved wings and iconic bold square tiles of the plaza will frame your perfect shot of the Eiffel Tower!
Walk further down to reach the Trocadéro Gardens, created for the Universal Exposition in 1937. Admire beautiful sculptures, bronze and stone statues, lush greenery and its centerpiece - the Warsaw fountains. Be prepared for an incredible water display with its 12 vertical fountains and 20 water cannons facing the Eiffel Tower! Don’t miss out on checking this out in the evening when the fountains are magically lit up and the Eiffel Tower twinkles on the hours.
Near the gardens, you’ll also find the Aquarium of Paris which houses one of the largest shark pools in France and the largest jellyfish exhibition in Europe. Perfect for a rainy day, immerse yourselves in a magical underwater world.
The Place du Trocadero is always buzzing with people chatting, music, soaking up the beauty of Paris, and whether you want to see Paris by day or by night, this is the place to be!

Reviews Place du Trocadéro
“I'm soo disappointed as I was soooo looking forward to this tour on the big bus and was considering rebooking in another city but may not now. My experience on Saturday the 7/6/2024 on the big bus was not worth £45 as I only went around the tour once, the bus was packed and many tourists had to stand. It was chaos and what I experienced was when you first get on a bus some tourists jumped the queue, no one stopped them and did jump in front of us to get seats, there was no organisation”
