Warm welcome onto boat with cross section of languages so announcement reflected this. Jumping off catamaran into 20 degrees ssa was fab followed by lovely lunch. Then we saw what we came to sea , 6 pilot whales who came quite close to the boat. This included a mother and calf.. Then later on some fab dolphins who jumped out of the water across the surf from boat and then swam in front. Finished with a sunset, full moon, a local.liquer, dancing and singing..well I was! A fab experience.

We were under the impression that it was a whale and dolphin watching tour. We saw some pilot whales after lunch and swimming but after about 1 and a half hours it turned in to a sightseeing tour of Los Gigantos with no apparent attempt to find dolphins. If we had known that we would have not booked or would have booked a sightseeing tour.

Felt the boat was overcrowded. You couldn’t relax as people were pushing you to get more of a view. More standing room as seats were overloaded. Information that you were given was excellent. If you are going from the north of the island it did take 2hours. There was a stop on the way. But the driver didn’t say anything so we had to guess what was going on . No guide or travel rep on board the coach. An earlier start would have been ideal

To be honest, the swim/snorkelling stage of the trip was a bit disappointing. A long steam, to get to a bay, where the water depth/clarity did not allow us to take advantage of viewing the marine life below, and we were not permitted to swim nearer to the shore. But I guess as certified divers, we have a different outlook. The whale watching phase though, was fantastic. Several pods of pilot whales and dolphins were seen, for extended periods, not just quick glimpses. Magic!

A continuación, visitarás Bodegas El Lomo.
