Its fluorescent-turquoise waters look radiant – and inviting – when contrasted against the tree-topped white headland that shelters the lagoon. Captain Theo will anchor here for 90 minutes, during which time you can swim or snorkel and feast on an on-board barbecue with free-flowing wine.After all that fun, Theo will rev up his engine to glide over to a scenic little bay for one more swimming stop where you can make the most of the sparkling Ionian Sea. Afterwards, it's time to hop back on board for the return cruise to Corfu.

You'll start at the Old Fortress of Corfu, a Venetian fortress dating back to the early 15th century, with some eye-catching views over the town. Eleni, one of our expert local guides, says “this fortress gives you a peek into Corfu's rich history. Keep an eye out for its two peaks – Castel a Terra, or Castle near the Land, and Castel a Mare, which means Castle by the Sea in English. They really show off the military defence architecture from the Venetian era.”Next, you'll stroll through the old town's winding alleyways, known as kantounia, towards Greece's largest plaza – Spianada Square. As you wander between the pastel-coloured buildings, you'll make a few stops to sample local treats, like ouzo and kumquat liqueurs.
