Our guide Fidilis was amazing. Zanzibar airport was chaotic with no information/announcement when our flight was delayed for 45 minutes. Very frustrating and worrying. Staff service at the airport was not acceptable and does need to be improved. This did put a dampener on our experience, though once we got there it was amazing and could not have asked for a better guide/ranger
Escape to Mikumi National Park on this one-day safari tour. Tucked between Dar es Salaam and the Selous Game Reserve, the park is all open plains, rolling hills, and scattered acacia trees – the ideal backdrop for your safari experience.
Your day kicks off with an early pick-up and a short flight to Mikumi. Once you land, your driver will be waiting to whisk you off on a full-day game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and maybe even lions or rare wild dogs. There’s plenty of birdlife, too – over 400 species call this place home.
Around midday, you’ll stop for a tasty buffet lunch before heading back out for more wildlife spotting. Predators like lions, leopards, and hyenas roam the park's grasslands, while crocodiles and hippos can be found in the park’s waterways as well. Then, as the afternoon winds down, you’ll head back to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar.
